This beautiful locomotive was converted
from AC analog to digital.
After a long research in the USA and in Switzerland we had to build a
handmade permanent magnet for the old type of motor. HAG told
us there is no way to get a magnet for this loco.
The old AC motor needs to be
converted to a DC motor.
The reverse relay will be replaced
later by a digital decoder.
The old motor completely apart and
cleaned.
The electrical coil magnet needs to be replaced by a permanent magnet.
This HAG magnet doesn't fit in this old loco and needs to be modified.
This pivot has to be drilled out, the hole must be open for the mounting screws.
One side is completed.
Motor conversion completed, runs
strong and powerful.
Loco wiring replaced.
Motor wiring with additional ground
connection.
8-pin connector for the decoder.
Decoder installed.
Loco ready for the test stand.
HAG Ae 6/6 runs like a new one.
